Product: Code Signing Certificate

I renewed my code signing certificate at the beginning of May (due to expire on 28th). The renewal process was easy and payment was taken. However, the status stalled at “awaiting validation”. At the time I didn't know whether I needed to take any action or provide information. After a fruitless 2hr online chat I raised a ticket. The certificate was issued within 24hrs - which was great. However, there was no feedback so I still don't know why the certificated wasn't validated in the first place - any whether this will happen every time I renew.
