The expiration date for my site's current certificate was coming up in a few weeks and I got a call and an email offering me a nice deal to re-up. It was helpful to get this knocked out instead of scrambling at the last minute! The interface remains a little clunky with funky things of pop ups and ungraceful errors when your session times out, but overall not too hard to get through and get the job nicely done.
