We set up a Comodo reseller account to save money for our customers. We have been a Thawte reseller for many years. OUR BAD! Comodo requires you pay an upfront deposit, instead of credit card on file, in order to buy into a discounted pricing tier. Their reseller portal is awful, non-intuitive, and functions seem to go on and off at random. Each cert we purchased, or tried to purchase, required chat support to facilitate; never mind their due diligence to issue. How hard can it be? The time it takes to properly choose and apply for an SSL cert takes way longer than Thawte (much better site and process). When we requested a refund of our $5k deposit we received an email from a generic commodo email address stating deposits are not refundable. At least Thawte has an actual account rep you can communicate with. All in all, we find Comodo more expensive due to the time and frustration factors. Save your money (and time) by trying someone else. Apparently Comodo doe not have a loyalty model or care about customer satisfaction.
