5 Hours Wasted - Still No SSL!

Product: Instant SSL

I generally don't get annoyed enough with poor service to write reviews about companies, but I thought this was a notably bad experience and was worth venting a bit. I have basically 3 sources of contention with the potato heads at Comodo: 1) There's a complete disconnect between Authorize.net and Comodo -- Authorize.net offers a substantial reseller discount of Comodo certs, but neither company will service your call if there are problems with the registration process. They both refer you to the other company for help ... and they're all idiots. :( * Wasted 1.5 hrs at this step (this was the easy part) 2) Comodo happily charges your credit card right away, but is neither clear about the additional documentation they need, nor what those docs should establish. If I at least knew what they wanted to validate, I might have been able to collect and provide that in short order. Instead, I'm scanning articles of incorporation, bank statements, phone bills, lease agreements, and undoing my private domain registration for them. * Wasted 2 hrs of back and fourth with their India-based customer support trying to figure out what it is that they really want from me. And they still want more. Do they want my first born? The deed to my house? Maybe they want my 6th grade transcripts? 3) Phone support at least seemed to be state-side, but they don't know what's going on either. I thought I could cut a few hours of email churn by chatting with them on the phone, but the phone guy's request was incomplete as well. * Wasted another 30 mins here. So, I'm now in for 4 hrs and ~$150 and still no SSL cert. I'll give these clowns another day to ponder the universe and then I'm going to stop payment on my credit card for their charge and try someone else. Btw, for the sslshopper.com admin ... I'd have liked to give them a lower rating than 1-star but I couldn't. I was thinking there should be at least a no-star option but even better might be a negative-star series.? Plus, what is a negative star but a blackhole ... seems appropriate given the soul crushing, time sucking vortex that is Comodo. This analogy could be taken further, but I'll stop. Admin Edit: Thanks for the feedback Robert. I have enabled an overall rating of 0 on the site and adjusted your review accordingly. Sorry that you're having such a bad experience.
