Comodo CA invited me to provide a review, and this is my honest opinion. The instructions from Comodo to complete the SSL renewal process are for specialists, not for lay users of their own websites such as me or anyone on my staff. That said, Lynda Rose in Sales has been extraordinarily helpful and sympathetic in guiding me through the very complex renewal process and getting answers to my questions from Comodo tech staff and billing. I truly appreciate her assistance. On August 29th, I got a cold call from SSLGuru/IonBlade offering to assist me in completing SSL renewal. Dan Solis of SSL Guru said that, "We are in partnership with Comodo, and aid in the renewal and expediting of the installation of certificates" - August 29th)." This reassured me. Farm to City switched our web host to IonBlade due to poor customer service from Google and Arvix. Before this switch, SSLGuru/IonBlade said the migration would be done "overnight". That was Sept 3. Due to many difficulties in switching and after the switch - dealing with Farm to City's public website and an ongoing upgrade in a development site (by ImageScape (augdev), we still are not sure that the SSL process is complete. If Comodo and SSLGuru/IonBlade are really partners in the SSL renewal process, you all should have a much better screening process up front with the costs to achieve renewal for the technical technical level of the website owner and show the role each plays in the process. The answers I selected for questions 2, 3, and 4 above are not indicative of my experience, but selected since answers are required: Answer to question 2 really is: Although service by Lynda Rose in sales was excellent, I did not get direct advice from tech support that I understood, so passed it on to SSLGuru or IonBlade. Answer to question 3 really is: It is impossible to use but with the additional cost necessary assistance from SSLGura/Ionblade I believe it will meet my needs. Answer to question 4 really is: Even after a month, I am not sure the validation process is complete and I am not sure what I have paid for or still owe each of the "partners."
