Though the support staff was always accessible and competent, which I appreciate, the PROCESS involved several (for me) high tech processes back and fortth several times between Network Solutions and Hhostway. I was asked to do several things I'm not qualified to understand or do, requiring I go online for hours to educate myself to get this done. Further, littlecastle.com is STILL NOT appearing as secured (https) on my phone, despite refreshing the page. I'm not supoer happy, to say the least.

I have been a user of their web forwarding and e-mail services for many years. in the past, they seemed OK. At present they are forcing their e-mail users to upgrade to a different website using SSL and TLS, which might be fine, but their certificate cannot be verified! What slimy jerks! They do not appear to have tested to see if their updated process works with even common Android e-mail clients, including Microsoft Outlook for Android - it fails without providing a clear diagnostic, and their support people are clueless about what is going on. How can a firm that sells certificates not know this? How could they force their users to migrate without testing the most basic functionality for some of the most common Android apps? I am disgusted, and will cancel my various services as quickly as I can find replacements.

I called in purchased a basic certificate for our business site and this started a chain of problems. 1. They charged a DIFFERENT company and domain, one that was no longer even with Network Solutions. 2. They refused to correct it or even to let the other company know they had incorrectly charged them (this must be illegal). I had to track down the owner of the other domain myself and let them know that they were wrongly charged. (This alone is reason enough never to do business with this poor excuse of a company). 3. I finally get SSL ordered, they very quickly took our money (their entire site is dedicated to SELLING you something, but NOT to actually DELIVERING the service). 4. A week later, we were STILL going through the so-called validation process to actually GET the certificate: phone calls, emails, cut off and give them your left leg, etc. 5. While on the phone with their pathetic excuse for tech-support (sales people, every one of them), I asked for actual installation instructions for the certificate if and when they ever got around to actually finishing the validation process. The tech support guy came out and said that they WOULD NOT provide that, but we could PAY THEM $79 TO INSTALL IT! If you're unfortunate enough to deal with this horrible company, just try to find the hosting panel when you're logged in and you'll instantly find yourself buried in "buy this, buy that" instead of having a clear direct route to your hosting panel. I have worked with a lot of hosting companies throughout my career and Network Solutions is the Worst of the Worst. If you're considering using them, RUN, do not walk, RUN away from them, unless you actually like dealing with barriers and nonsense at every step of your dealing with them. Oh and actually make certain that you have them REMOVE your credit card from their platform, because they have no qualms about charging it and will not contact you if they do so.

I purchased an ssl certificate a few months back and noticed now that some of the intermediate certificates have expired. As I am trying to connect with customer service to resolve this issue they do not reply to my open ticket, there is no chat response when I try to connect with a chat agent, and forget about the phone, after waiting over an hour I just hanged up.

We purchased SSL certificate in April 2018. Thought it would be easy since they have the domain registration with Network Solutions. It has been a nightmare every step of the way. It's August now and the site is still not secured.

Support was *almost* no help ...

... the only "help" they were was in recommending me to sslshopper.com ... unfortunately, I had already paid for and received my SSL cert from Network Solutions. Ordering was the easy part ... online chat guy fixed me right up. Only chose to use them because they are the registrar for the domain that I needed the SSL for, and I thought using them would "simplify" things. That's what I get for thinking ... sigh ... Anyhow, I was installing on IIS 8 for a private site, and couldn't find anything on their website to help me install the certs ... was following IIS 7 instructions that was causing an error message. Finally found some better instructions elsewhere that allowed me to successfully install their product. Am only giving them a 2 because the cert actually worked after I got them installed. Pitiful support ... was very frustrating day that ... at least ... ended on a happy note with a successful depoloyment of the certs. I won't purchase from them again in the future.

read the reviews and thought I would try them since the pricing and promos were the best. I expected that it may not be easy based on some reviews but I got the basic cert within hours. Was great for me.

After ordering it and getting stuck in a "submit csr then wait for email" loop for weeks and thinking it was an email filter issue filtering their email. I finally called them 5 weeks later and they said they had sold me a 4 year cert and they no longer offer it and that is why it wouldn't go through. So, they converted it to a 3 year and then when I submitted the csr I had the certificate within 15 minutes or so (the only decent part of the whole transaction). They package my purchased certificate with 3 others. One appears to be the trust root certificate and two intermediates. Should be straightforward to install it. NOT! 10 hours later and half the business mad at us because email keeps going up then down, I finally call them for now the 5th time I think. They said the separate certs would not work and told me to combine the public portion. So, I did that and it still won't work and the email is still hosed. Ultimately, I went back to our free self-signed certifcate because we were having a LOT less email being rejected than we did with their cert. I usually use GoDaddy and since they had an existing account with Network Solutions I thought it would be quicker. I am going to contact their accounts area tomorrow and try to get a refund. If we don't get one, I will dispute the charges. In my 18+ years in the industry, this is the absolute worse SSL experience I have ever had. Avoid these guys like the plague.

I wanted to buy a UC/SAN certificate from Network Solutions, so I generated a CSR with 3 different SANs. Network Solutions happily accepted my CSR with multiple SANs, and proceeded to generate a certificate with only the first and primary common name. I immediately called tech support to ask why this happened, and was told that Network Solutions doesn't support UC/SAN certificates. Oh how convenient that they took my money and accepted my UC/SAN request, issued the certificate anyways, and now refuse to refund the money because the certificate is already "issued". Lost all my money and switched to DigiCert, which worked flawlessly.

I ran into some confusion with the SSL certificates, and the technical support provided immediate and clear answers, and helped me resolve the problem within a few minutes. I use this company for SSL certificates and internet domain name registrations, and I'm very pleased with their reliability, consistency, and integrity.

I purchased a wildcard certificate from them. Just to figure out there are no instructions on how to use it. The little on the website is wrong and inapplicable. The phone support is a joke. Nobody is willing or able to explain anything, they just push you for their chargeable tech support. They made available 4 crt with little explanation on which is what and no trace of a pfx. A lot of money wasted. I won't buy anything from them ever again.

My client was already a Network Solutions customer with a website and single-site SSL. I need to purchase a multi-domain SSL for their new Exchange 2013 server. They don't sell UC/SAN certificates but sold me a wildcard one at a competitive price. Wildcard certs aren't 'best practice' for Exchange 2013 but my understanding was that it would work, and I wanted to stick with a single vendor. Well, they took my money with no issue, but went ahead and applied the cert to the website that NetSol hosts and didn't make it available to me for my server! Now they refuse to refund my money without speaking to the account manager - they need permission to remove a service, they say - despite the fact that I didn't want the service applied to the website in the first place.

Certificate not trusted on many devices!!

Product: Basic Certificate

I got the NetworkSolutions Xpress Certificate, for use on my Apache webserver. While it works *okay*, I have two major beefs: 1) The certificate was not trusted by many Android / mobile devices, and even some older web browsers (e.g. IE7 on Windows XP). They claim NetworkSolutions' CA is not a trusted root certificate authority. 2) When I called NetworkSolutions for help with this, they said they don't support Apache. You DON'T SUPPORT APACHE?? I told them multiple times I didn't need help installing the certificate. The certificate and all chains / intermediates are installed fine on my server, the problem is that other CLIENTS don't consider the certificate signing authority to be trusted. Basically, they aren't well known enough. So what this comes down to is that you buy the certificate, but god help you if it doesn't work properly. They throw their hands up in the air and refuse to help. You're completely on your own. What the heck did I pay for? I might as well use a self-signed certificate.

I've moved all of our SSL certificates to Network Solutions. When you read and follow the instructions completely the system is very smooth. The customer support has always been available when I've needed them. I made a mistake with a selection once and was able to speak with customer support to make the needed changes made.

Unable to issue a simple certificate

I attempted to purchase an SSL certificate from NS two weeks ago. I went through the validation process, and got an email that my certificate was issued. So far, everything seems fine. However, when I clicked on the link to download the signed cert, there is nothing... only a message stating that validation is still pending. So then I click to resend the validation email, and get "a system error has occurred" from their site. I've called support 9 times, and each time have been told the issue needs to be escalated. One of their support people told me that their system was down. After the escalation I get nothing back; it seems to just go into a black hole. At this point I've given up wasting my time with NS, and will be asking for a refund.

The website is easy to use and when there aren't any problems the cert gets issued fast. Where they fail is common sense with validation. On several certs I've had to call and yell at them to get a renewal validated. How is it one year it's fine t hen the next year they can't find the information?

They seem to be in the business of ripping people off. They attempted to mislead me in to ordering the most expensive wildcard certificate. Here is a copy of the live chat that I just had with one of their employees... Jeff H: In order to best assist you today, may I have your Name and Phone Number please? david: ******************* Jeff H: Thank You! How can I help you today? david: I need a certificate for a 2010 exchange server. We are only using mail.example.com right now. What package do I need? Jeff H: Will you be using others in the future. Jeff H: ?* Jeff H: The only certificate that works with 2010 Exchange is the wildcard certificate. david: not sure. david: not to my understanding... I think that I can take my business elseware Jeff H: Let me re-phrase that. Jeff H: Only the wildcard certificate is going to work if you will be covering multiple names on the server. We currently use them for our DNS and I am now considering using a different service. I have been on the phone for 20 min now waiting to register a complaint about this and am still waiting... They will never get any of my business again.

Poor Documentation

Very difficult to find documentation for installing the cert on your platform. After a call to tech support I found that they were NO help in getting this cert installed to IIS 7.5 running on Server Core. On a seperate issue I had a question about ISA documentation, which I found for an older version. The tech on the phone couldnt even locate the same doc when she searched. POOR.
