SSL.com SSL Certificate Reviews

These guys are really good but the lack of out of hours support is a negative point. If you or your team are not based in in the US then you must be aware that if you try renew a certificate you should wait until the US start woking otherwise you can sit for the whole working day without support. I will continue to use them as the process is difficult but I have worked it out with them and don't want to go through the pain again...

My company develops hundreds of website each year, and are now buying all of our SSL certificates from SSL.com. They've made the entire process extremely easy with great customer service as well.

I had the great pleasure today of getting assistance with my SSL purchase (by chat supporer "sslcorp") and with the installation from Fred ("fnewts"). Earlier today, I was despairing over whether or not I could get this SSL certificate thing figured out without wasting an exorbitant amount of time and making mistakes that would cost $$$.  I was extremely confused between guidance I was receiving from the two parties that I needed to work together to make things work (Salesforce.com and Bluehost). Bluehost's documentation and chat support was so lousy that it confused me further and left me with low confidence in their ability to help me get things set up right. That sent me looking to see if a 3rd party cert seller could help, even though I was anxious about adding yet another party to the confusion. Boy was I relieved when both sslcorp and Fred took it upon themselves to not only help me with the SSL.com part of the situation, they also helped me sort out the Bluehost and Salesforce parts of the installation! They were patient and proactive about anticipating my needs and problems. They didn't rush me off so they could close out my chat with a fast resolution time. In fact, Fred hung around while I went and got things figured out in Salesforce, because he wanted to make sure everything was working. Many sellers would have washed their hands of the situation the moment my configuration process switched over to Salesforce. All in all, they made it very easy.  I'm quite relieved to have found them, and thereby SSL.com!

I was having some major problems getting my SSL certificate installed on my IIS server. There were some issues with .Net, etc that I could not figure out. I called in and left my number with SSL support. Fred Newtz called me back and help me out tremendously. Fred was very knowledgeable and was extremely helpful. He had our site up and running in no time. I could not have done this without him. We will definitely do more business with SSL.com in the future due to this experience with your tech support. Fred was amazing. This is my first time making a website. He showed me how to generate and validate my security. He even tried to help me integrate it into my hosting service. I really feel fred went above and beyond in his customer service. He even offered to look at screen shots and we determined I need to speak with my hosting service to move further and fred fully explained why A+

I am not an expert when it comes to servers/SSL/DNS and started this assignment off with frustration and confusion. When I came to SSL.com, I spoke with Fred (alias: fnewtz) and was given prompt, helpful, easy-to-understand answers. Fred helped me troubleshoot issues that were out of SSL.com's scope, giving me a better understanding of the whole picture. I'm pretty sure I could have asked him to help with my nephew's math homework and he would've been glad to do it. SSL.com has a customer for life.

I get a best support ever. The support colleague is the best as what I became. The support colleague name is something like "fred". I would like to add 1 billion stars for him, but i can add five. I hope this guy get some pay raise or something, becouse with out this guy, I lived this page immadatly.

I am a total newbie at ssl certificates. I recently purchased a certificate from SSL for use on my MDaemon mail server and the support I got from Fred at SSL.com made the whole process seamless yet understandable. He accommodated my questions and assisted all the way through I had the certificate installed and running. I would recommend SSL.com and their support staff to anyone!

Certificates and requesting/installing them are extremely confusing for those that haven't dealt with them. Fortunately, I had the best help ever: FRED Fred explained what each file type was used for, how to handle requesting and completing requests for certificates, and how to easily export .pfx files for Azure. This guy deserves a raise!
